SIF Coverage: SR Rainy Season Chika

Halfway through the event, we arrive at a yet another milestone of firsts that is the first ever Aqours SR in the form of SR Rainy Season Takami Chika! To put things into perspective, this event only arrived in the JP Servers early June this year. With the Love Live Sunshine anime currently airing though, it only made sense to bring the event forward to build up the hype for the new series.

Back onto the topic of this event, SR Chika is unlocked automatically upon reaching 11,000 Event Points. Another 14,000 Event Points will unlock the second copy of this exact SR Chika, allowing players to idolize her even before the event ends. Just another of the few changes implemented in this event.

Here she is at Level 1 as part of the Rainy Season set sporting a Smile Attribute and a Perfect Lock skill. The Rainy Season set is not a new addition to SIF with Nozomi, Rin and Hanayo being apart of it too. Although, Nozomi and Hanayo appear in a subsequent event also following the same theme. Nevertheless, it is a timely addition to the set with June (the original event release date) coinciding with rainy season in Japan.

Train Chika up and, at Level 60, she will be sporting a respectable 4,530 Smile Points. This figure grows significantly upon idolization catapulting Chika all the way to the No. 2 spot in terms of Event Smile SRs. Hence, as much as I would like to keep my entire teams populated with members of Muse, my inner gamer necessitates I make a compromise.

Here's a closer look at Chika in her bright yellow raincoat holding up a frog. If this raincoat and frog theme looks familiar, that is because it is a recurring theme with the Rainy Season set. Umbrellas make up the other half of the set's look and that is seen with Nozomi and Riko.

Last but, not least a new EX song has been added to the roster. This time, it is Umi's solo track "Watashitachi wa Mirai no Hana" or "We Are the Flowers of the Future". It is a great track which serves to highlight Mimorin's (Umi's seiyuu) strong vocal prowess. Still, the song is quite the curve-ball by KLab and is one of the tougher songs in recent additions. With that, today's SIF coverage comes to an end. The next time, we will be taking a closer look at the complete idolized SR Chika. Until then, thanks so much for reading and have yourself a wonderful day ahead!
