SIF Coverage: Medley Festival Round 4 Conclusion

After 11 intense days, Medley Festival Round 4 finally comes to an end. Indeed it has been a roller coaster ride of cutoffs with the event starting slow, picking up pace midway and, surprisingly, slowing down in the last 24 hours. All of this, resulted in a cutoff which was much lower than was predicted mid-event. Still, this took many players by surprise (me included) which sees quite a few of use slightly more Love Gems than initially planned. Want to know the dirty details? Read on to find out.

First up, we have the Top 5 finishers which always deserve a mention for their hard work and effort put into grinding for these positions. This time around, 1st place goes to Makoto with an astonishing 845,488 points. Right behind is the EN's servers highest ranked player, Kintolesky at 700,000 points (check out that round number!!).

Next up, we have the cutoff for Tier 1 sitting at 82,767 points for the lucky 1000th position. That honor goes to Dezire who must have put in quite a lot of effort considering his/her account is only at Rank 84. Initial predictions saw the cutoff for Tier 1 sit somewhere between 84-87,000 but, fortunately, the "Wonderful Rush" did not occur and many precious Love Gems were saved. For all those who qualified, congratulations!

Similar to Tier 1, Tier 2 too has been spared from the dreaded "Wonderful Rush" with the cutoff being squarely at 62,114 points for the 5000th position. For Tier 2, the predictions saw the cutoff hover around 64-67,000 points which does surprise me quite a bit to see the predictions being so far off. Nevertheless, Medley Festival is a new addition to the EN Server and it has always been a difficult one to predict with scores fluctuating very often. Nevertheless, congratulations to square up who managed to secure the lucky 5000th position.

With an initial estimate of 10 Love Gems, I made the gamble to not go with my usual "+1 Love Gem" strategy and was, fortunately, rewarded with a solid 2,427th position. This landed me comfortably in Tier 2 and, actually, much higher than where I expected to be. Usually, when aiming to tier for an event, I try to finish somewhere in the 3000-3500th position. Still, it's nice to finish higher up every now and then.

Like a broken record, I constantly repeat the story of how I got burned at the previous Kotori event. But, that ends today as I collect my hard-earned rewards! This was going to be my first idolized SR Kotori and I was pretty excited.
Before I get to that, here's a quick look at the Event's N Card, Shido Misaki, upon idolizing her. Such an elaborate outfit wouldn't you say?

Here's how she looks in the card form, the fluffy bunny tail at the back together with the pastel color palette is an obvious nod to the Easter theme featured in this event.

Now, let's take a look at the card I've been waiting to get for the past 11 days. Just pop both of them into the Special Practice blender, make sure you have the Level 60 above, and;

Tadah! Flowers, a frilly dress and a stuff rabbit. The idolized version may not exactly resemble Easter celebrations but, the design theme definitely screams Kotori.

Fully leveled up, Easter Kotori really excels in the stats department despite Smile not being her core attribute (it's Pure, if you're wondering). At Level 80, Kotori sports 4,750 Smile points, a figure that is greater than any of my Smile SR to date, including my recently acquire Baseball Rin. While her skill may be rather ordinary, her stats more than make up for it making her the new addition to my Smile Team.

Lastly, here's a look at the card itself as I put a close to this coverage of Round 4 of SIF's Medley Festival. Once again, thank you so much for reading and have a wonderful day ahead!
