Another Dilemma

Adding to the list of things I cannot afford, Good Smile Company recently announced a new 1/7th scale Sonico figurine. This time manufactured by Wing which has done a number of Sonico figures in the past before. Wing has even made some of the more popular Sonico figures such as the Young Tomboy and After the Party version.

This time though, there's a new sculptor, Gotaro Takeuchi, which explains the slightly different looking Sonico which I think looks more mature. Her bust size seems to have increased too, if that's even possible.

What's it called? If the images haven't given it away already, it's Super Sonico Office Lady version of course. Pre-orders are open now and she's due for a September 2015 release date, which isn't too far off. Generally, I'm not a big fan of Sonico figures with her in unnecessarily skimpy outfits but, she looks so pretty and composed here that it has me torn.

Just pre-order it already! Well, that would be the ideal scenario where I would just happen to have 11,800 Yen just lying around. That's right, you're gonna have to drop 11 big ones to get your paws on the new Sonico. Putting that into comparison, the currently sought after Snow White Sonico goes for only 1,500 Yen. Undoubtedly, the 10 fold price increase comes with significant improvements both in terms of quality and size. Just look at the sculpt of Sonico's hair, flawless.

So, what's there to do? I figured this would be a good place to rant a little before I finally decide if I'm ready to part with even more of my hard earned cash. Also, as a final tidbit, that little seam running throughout her outfit? That pretty much confirms that it is removable so you can have your OL Sonico with even less on. Tempting, no?

Well, that's all for today's rant as I have to get back to working on more reviews. Until then, hope you have a great day everyone!
